Liver loving juice

The liver is the second largest organ in in the body after the skin and is
responsible for breaking down hormones, removing toxins and supporting healthy metabolism of sugar, vitamin D, fats and more. However, no organ operates in isolation, and the detoxification network includes the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and the lymphatic system to filter out toxins from the body. The liver is such an important organ for hormonal balance, yet it is often easily overlooked. When the liver is working optimally your emotions will be balanced, and it will  help with PMS, cramping and clotting.

Loving your liver will help keep your hormones balanced

Ingredients:

  • 2 x carrots
  • 2 x celery stalks
  • 1 x apple
  • Handful of fresh parsley
  • ¼ lemon with the skin
    (optional)

Method:

  1. Wash all ingredients with a water bicarbonate
    solution (soaking for 20 minutes in the solution is
    ideal).
  2. Juice all the ingredients and enjoy fresh.
  3. Drink your juice about 15 minutes after drinking one
    to two glasses of filtered water upon waking up.
